Weider takes its name from Joe Weider, a historic figure in bodybuilding, whose family started its sports nutrition business in 1936 and who co-founded the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) with his brother Ben. In Europe, Weider products are developed by Weider Germany GmbH, founded in 2003, which offers a wide range of protein bars and snacks, amino acids, creatine, drinks and sports supplements.
