Protein bars, energy bars and snacks
A bar slips into a gym bag, a jacket pocket or a desk drawer: it is the most practical snack to keep you going until your next meal, after training or during a long session. Our range covers three families.
Protein bars provide 15 to 30 g of protein: Weider 32% Protein Bar, Mars and M&M's Hi Protein, or Lenny & Larry's Complete Cookies. Low-sugar protein bars, our best sellers, keep the taste of a chocolate bar with little sugar: Barebells, Grenade Carb Killa, Quest, Nanosupps and All Stars. Finally, energy bars focus on carbohydrates for exercise: LSP Oat King, Clif Bar, ESN GOAT Bar, PowerBar and Science in Sport.
Most are sold individually or in boxes of 12, which are better value: compare the unit price shown on each product page. Looking for a savoury snack? Read our comparison of protein chips.
Frequently asked questions
Protein bar or energy bar?
A protein bar is a snack or a post-workout top-up; an energy bar, rich in carbohydrates, is eaten before or during long efforts (cycling, running, hiking).
Can a bar replace a meal?
No, it is a snack. It complements a varied and balanced diet without replacing a proper meal.
Why buy by the box?
A box of 12 is cheaper per bar, and bars keep for several months: handy if you eat them regularly.
