Bromelain from pineapple is a mixture of protein digestion enzymes called proteases. They act on the digestion of systemic proteins and enzymes which are absorbed from the small intestine and pass easily into the bloodstream to deliver their actions.
Pineapple has a long medical tradition among the natives of South America and is widespread around the world for various uses in traditional medicine and continues to be used as an herbal extract.
The natives, for example, relieved heartburn by drinking its fresh juice, calming the inflammation of wounds by applying compresses of fresh flesh, when some Venezuelan tribes used it as a decongestant.
Bromelain, obtained from fresh pineapple, is used today because it is said to have diuretic properties that could help with water retention. Bromelain can also be used to relieve digestive problems, pain associated with osteoarthritis and to reduce muscle pain.

Advice for use
Take 1 serving (2 tablets) in 2 portions a day, preferably after meals
