NOW Foods Vitamin D-3 1000 IU provides 25 µg of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol, from lanolin) in each softgel, i.e. 500% of the nutrient reference value. A convenient dose for a regular daily intake, especially during months with little sun exposure.

Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus, to normal blood calcium levels, to the maintenance of normal bones, to the maintenance of normal muscle function, to the maintenance of normal teeth and to the normal function of the immune system.

As vitamin D is fat-soluble, it is dissolved in extra virgin olive oil and safflower oil, in easy-to-swallow softgels. The bottle of 180 softgels lasts six months at one softgel a day.
