Swanson Health Products was founded in 1969 in Fargo, North Dakota, by Leland Swanson. The company started out selling vitamins and food supplements by mail order, before opening its first shop and launching its website in 1999. Still based in Fargo, the American brand is now known for the breadth of its catalogue of supplements, botanical extracts and specialist nutrients.
