Cacao was originally used by the Aztecs and the Mayas in spiritual rituals. It was first introduced into Europe by the Spanish. Biotona Cacao Powder is made from 100% organic Trinitario cacao beans from the Dominican Republic. The powder is extracted from fermented and sun-dried beans by means of a traditional cold-pressing process.
